Road Trip to Wisconsin Day 1-3

Many of you know that my husband David and I recently took a free trip that we earned to northern California for the Shaklee New Directors Conference at Shaklee Headquarters! This was truly a trip of a lifetime. My parents earned this trip 2 years ago and had an awesome time! you can see highlights from their trip HERE. They were awesome enough to take care of our kids while we were there (thanks mom and dad!), but first we had to get the boys to Wisconsin! So for the first 3 days, we traveled there by car, seeing some sights and family along the way. I will share our experiences in this past week in a few post blog series with tons of pictures! One of our first stops was for ice cream in Missouri!

I decided to get a delicious peach fruit smoothie! Real fruit and everything! SOOOO good!!! 🙂

We usually just take a day and a half to get to Wisconsin but this time we stretched it into 2 and a half days so we could spend some time with David’s parents in Bloomington, Illinois along the way. It was a quick visit but good to see them! They are selling their home there (if anyone is looking for a terrific ranch home in a great neighborhood 😉 and moving to Texas. So this may be the last time we travel through that way and get to see them.

We took another night in a hotel and had time for the pool! the kids loved it!

And finally made it to my parent’s house in Wisconsin where the boys spent the next 5 nights and had a blast. David and I spent one night there before flying off to San Francisco for the awesome Shaklee trip!

My parents have a fantastic rhubarb patch that my grandpa planted decades ago! I really miss it since it doesn’t grow in Mississippi. I gave some to the boys to try. Andrew said it was sour but Benjamin didn’t seem to mind it at all! That’s my boy 🙂
