I’ve been blogging about our Fantastic free trip out to the Shaklee home office in the San Francisco area recently. It’s been so much fun going down this recent memory lane with you and I hope you have enjoyed the posts as much as I have writing them.
If you missed the past posts you can see them here:
The first post talked about how we flew out a day early so my scientist husband David, could meet with Dr. Daggy, senior VP, research and development and chief science officer. Dr. Daggy was so gracious to invite us to stay with him and his lovely wife, Anne, the first day and we had so much fun! I mentioned in my first post that Anne made us an awesome smoothee the next morning. It was a smoothee unlike any other I have ever had, and apparently one of Dr. Daggy’s favorites! We could see why! Here’s what she put in it:
Fresh ginger root
a green apple, seeded
the juice of half a lemon
Shaklee vitamins! It’s a great idea to blend them in, especially for people who have a hard time swallowing vitamins. Here she put Lecithin (great for brain, liver, heart and reproductive health), Osteomatrix (calcium and magnesium for bone health), Vita D3 (for bone and immune health.) , and Cholesterol Reduction Complex into the blender. Shaklee supplements are high quality whole food supplements and are truly different then most on the market with the quality science, testing, high standards, etc. If you’re looking for a good quality supplement, I definitely recommend taking a look at Shaklee.
an orange
fresh blanched broccoli (this was a new one for me!)
Half an avocado
and last, Shaklee 180 Vanilla protein smoothee mix (I LOVE this protein!)
She blended this with lots of ice and water – I like almond milk in my smoothees but this was delicious! And so fresh tasting! Anne leaves out the milk because the vegetables and fruit add calories (and some protein, among many other goodies!) So healthy! And tasty!
I always have my breakfast with my Vitalizer strip of vitamins. Together, I get so much more energy! And I stay healthier too.
It was really delicious and packed with so much goodness!
I think the key to the perfect smoothee isn’t the perfect recipe. It’s the right combination of whatever you have on hand to give you and your family the best fuel to start your day! And this certainly did for this slightly jet-lagged girl! We split the entire amount amongst the four of us. And my husband had it too, which is something new to him! He’s been adding Shaklee smoothees to his day since then and enjoying them!
Thanks to Dr. Daggy’s wife Anne for making this and showing me how to think outside of the box with my smoothee recipes. 🙂
Comment below your favorite smoothees! Would love to hear from you.
