I have also blanched them so I could freeze them to use later. I love adding them to soups and sauces in the winter time. Freezing tomatoes is really easy.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.waterwayshealth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_9146.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waterwayshealth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_9146-300x225.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"color: #660000;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #660000;\"><u><b><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">&nbsp;How to Blanch Tomatoes:<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/u><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #0c343d;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">1. Wash your tomatoes and cut off stems and blemishes. They should be firm.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #0c343d;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">2. Add a few tomatoes to boiling water and boil for only 60 seconds. I only do a few at a time since you don&#8217;t have to boil for very long.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.waterwayshealth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_9711.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waterwayshealth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_9711-300x225.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span style=\"color: #0c343d;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&nbsp;3. Remove tomatoes from boiling water with a slotted spoon and put into a bowl of ice water for a few seconds.<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.waterwayshealth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_9713.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waterwayshealth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_9713-300x225.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">&nbsp;4. Remove skins of tomatoes. It should slide off easily.<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.waterwayshealth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_9710.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waterwayshealth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/IMG_9710-300x225.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #134f5c;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">5. Cut tomatoes into desired size pieces. I like to dice or chunk mine for future sauce and soup recipes. It is SO easy! I used to buy canned tomatoes for soups and sauces but then I learned that BPA leaches into canned goods, esp. tomatoes since they are acidic. So freezing fresh organic tomatoes is much better.
